MBBS (Honors), MSc (Experimental Medicine), FRACP
EXPERIENCE: I have been a consultant gastroenterologist since 2008 and provided services in Illawarra Shoalhaven since 2012. My gastroenterology journey started at Wollongong Hospital and expanded further through Box Hill Hospital (Melbourne, Monash University) where I completed a fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). I provide a comprehensive gastroenterology service with a special interest in IBD.
As my interest in understanding how to best manage bowel disease grew, I did further clinical research on the impact of iron deficiency on quality of life, iron replacement options and its impact on gut bacteria in patients with and without Inflammatory Bowel Disease. I have been a principal investigator on numerous Inflammatory Bowel Disease trials enabling patients access the most advanced therapy available and be ahead of the curve!
I have been an active teacher at the School of Medicine at University of Wollongong since 2012 and obtained clinical Associate Professorship in 2018.
